you to You Project

(Fall 2025)

A collaborative art show between MCC’s Graphic Design I and II showcasing growth. Each student chose a past art piece from elementary school to reimagine with their current skill set and more mature graphic knowledge. My recreation was my watercolor clownfish painting that was done in 3rd grade. We were all assigned different jobs to promote our art show. My group was in charge of the social media posts on our Instagram.

OUI Project

(FALL 2025)

This artwork is a vibrant packaging design for Oui by Yoplait yogurt, using a tropical color palette of purples, yellows, and oranges to highlight mango and passion fruit flavors. Repeating fruit imagery and playful typography create a cohesive, eye-catching design, while the sunset and palm elements add a relaxed, summery feel.

Lyle St Bridge Project

(Fall, 2025)

This project involved designing a mural concept for the abandoned Lyle Street Bridge in Elgin, Illinois. The brief focused on incorporating native plants and animals local to the Elgin area. The design process was guided through close collaboration with my professor, who was actively involved in developing and refining the concept. The project combined careful measuring and cutting with creative exploration to ensure the design accurately fit the bridge structure. The final mural artwork was presented using a scaled diorama of the bridge, allowing the design to be photographed and viewed in context.

Prairie Roots: Moon gate/ sound panels Project

(Fall 2025)

This project was a collaboration between MCC Graphic Design II & III, MCC Welding, Woodstock Public Library and Bluestem Ecological Services. Designers were tasked with creating concepts for a moon gate and acoustic sound panels. I developed three distinct design variations and was selected as one of six finalists. As a finalist, I presented my work to an audience of over 40 attendees at MCC. Although my designs were not ultimately selected, the project provided valuable experience in collaborative design, presentation, and real-world client engagement.

Book Cover: Genre Swatch

(Fall 2025)

This project explored reimagining a well-known literary work through a different genre. I selected Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and challenged myself to reinterpret the story in a new visual direction. After exploring multiple genre options, I ultimately transformed the narrative into a childrenโ€™s bookโ€“style concept featuring my leopard geckos as the main characters. This approach allowed me to add a playful, imaginative perspective while giving new life to the original story through illustration and visual storytelling.

Candy Box Project

(Fall 2024)

This project focused on creating a conceptual candy flavor and designing the accompanying carton graphics. Careful attention was given to measurements and structure to ensure the packaging was balanced, functional, and able to stand properly. Inspired by Valentineโ€™s Day candy, I developed a fictional flavor titled Bloody Heart Flavor. Two design variations were created to explore different visual directions: one featuring a bold red and gold color palette, and another exploring softer pink pastel tones.

National Park Booklet Project

(Spring 2024)

This collaborative project was created in partnership with the MCC Geology of National Parks course. Students from the geology class researched and wrote final papers on selected national parks, which the Typography class transformed into a cohesive, illustrated publication. Each graphic designer was assigned two parks to illustrate, contributing original visuals to the book. All groups had 4 graphic designers. The final outcome was a professionally printed and bound physical booklet produced through a collaborative, hands-on process.
